This position’s primary goal is to make sure that the British Council complies with all Nigerian legal and regulatory obligations as well as organizational standards for corporate governance and information management. The post holder will coordinate for the efficient operation of the Country Directorate and provide legal counsel and specialized assistance to ensure the timely availability of reports, minutes, records of decisions, analytics, and business plans. The position holder will participate actively in SLT meetings, organize SLT gatherings, interact with significant stakeholders, and serve as the first point of contact for all decisions and actions pertaining to governance.

A member of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators or any similar organization, a legal practitioner with at least five years’ experience in a comparable position or equivalent legal subject
